Când am intrat cu florile la dânsa, am văzut că erau flori în casă, erau
flori pe pereţi și era ceva înflorit în fiinţa aceea încărcată de ani. De ce
îmi spusese să-i duc tot flori? M-am întrebat. Dar după câteva clipe
am înţeles: un destin împlinit înseamnă o blândă repetiţie.
Lorsque j’entrai chez elle avec les fleurs, je vis qu’il y avait des fleurs dans la maison, il y en avait sur les murs, et il y avait quelque chose de fleuri dans cet être chargé d’années. Pourquoi rn’avait-il dit de lui porter encore des fleurs? me dernandai-je. Mais quelques instants après, je cornpris: un destin accompli signifie une tendre répétition.
When I entered her place with the flowers, I saw tbat tbere were flowers in the house, they were on the walls, but there was also something in blossom in that hurnan being stricken in years. Why had he told me to bring her more flowers? I asked myself. But after a short while I understood: a destiny fulfilled means gentle reenactrnent.
